Beef

  • 1.5 cups ground beef
  • 2 tbsp garlic (minced)
  • 1.5 tbsp ginger (minced)
  • 1 cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt (as per taste)
  • yogurt (for marination)
  • lemon zest (for flavor)

Couscous

  • 1 cup couscous
  • 1 small carrot (cube in size)
  • 1 tomato (cube in size)
  • red bell pepper (cube in size)
  • yellow bell pepper (cube in size)
  • 3 cups broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp mixed herb
  • chili flakes
  • mint leaves

Instructions

  • Take a large bowl. Add ground beef, garlic, ginger, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and all other spices mentioned in the “beef ingredient group”.Then add salt as per taste. Add yogurt for making the beef tender and lemon zest for extra flavor. Rest the mixture for 15 minutes.

  • Take a nonstick saucepan. Add olive oil and keep it at low heat. Add onion and wait until it gets brown. Then add marinated beef and cook it for around 15 minutes.

  • Get another nonstick pan and add oil. Fry all of the vegetables properly. Then add couscous and mixed herb. Mix them well. After adding the broth cook the whole mixture for around 5 minutes.
